First Man is a perfectly crafted masterpiece that offers the ultimate cinematic experience. The film does an excellent job at portraying the perils and exhilaration of spaceflight. First Man accounts the space races of the ’60s in the eyes of the emotionally damaged hero, Neil Armstrong and it does an exceptional job of laying out the real costs of making it to the moon. Chazelle has an obsession with men who are obsessed. He loves to dissect what makes greatness. My favourite film of 2018

Technically brilliant movie when it comes to learning of the intracies associated with spacecraft operations and the like, but the movie was utterly disappointing as far as Armstrong's character portrayal. If this is an accurate reflection of who Armstrong is, then he has to be THE most depressing & socially backwards man on the planet!

A phenomenal film experience. 'First Man' is a thoughtfully made film thanks to its stake-adding tension, vivid imagery and its stellar performances from Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy.
