Typical Hollywood...this is Apollo 11 as imagined by the writers of Beverly Hill 90210. It's not so much about NASA and the men who got the men to the Moon, but it's about the writer and director having a major panic attack trying to put themselves into these guys shoes. Claire Foy is awesome though...don't mess with the Queen when she puts on her Southern accents...she will CUT YOU! ;)

Pathetic Attempt. Poorly cast. Poorly written. Uninspiring. Melodramatic. Showed no understanding of aviator or astronaut mentality. It does not show Neil Armstrong's true genius, drive, patriotism and humility.For a truer picture of the man, watch: PBS's NOVA special about him (2014). It can be found on YouTube. Although the PBS special is 10 times better than the movie, even the special doesn't even come close to describing the man. As you watch the PBS special,, look at the respect the other astronauts and test pilots have for Neil.

Too much unrealistic use profanity not consistent with the era. Men and women of today often speak as if they were raised by wolves, but not during the times when men often tucked in their shirts just to get the paper off the porch and women wore dresses to the grocery stores. The cinematography was ridiculous. The CONSTANT close ups was uncomfortable at best at the least made it unbearable to watch. Couldn’t and wouldn’t want to watch it again.
