This movie is wonderful. Both the family drama and struggles of a man with such great responsability, danced melodically well throughout the movie. I advice any family to watch it together. Many of the situations bring us to the reality of our daily lives and sometimes to the struggles we face with responsabilities and inner pain. A must to watch. Wonderful acting and, being a science movie, it was very balanced and more focused in the life's struggles of astronaut Neil Armstrong and the quest to not only push Humanity further, but manily his determination and courage to face his pain.

When it focuses on spaceflight the film shines, but when it comes to the human portion of the film it feels sterile and lifeless (I get the feeling things where left on the editing floor), and perhaps if it was made in the form of a mini series it would have had more time and room to really be something special. Not really worth re-watching if you have seen it once.

Don't go into this film expecting it to only be about the Apollo 11 mission. It covers Armstrong's journey into becoming the first man to walk on the moon, it doesn't even falter when showing you the rough parts of the journey (especially the part where we see the Apollo 1 disaster, which I found quite emotional). I absolutely loved this film, especially as the big space geek I am. If space history is you thing, give it a try!
