Academy Award-winner Joan Crawford ("Mildred Pierce," "What EverHappened to Baby Jane?") stars as a dancer in a traveling circus. Stranded in a corrupt Southern town, she becomes involved with two men, a weakling who betrays her and a corrupt political boss. She is eventually framed for murder by a crooked sheriff, played by Oscar-nominee Sydney Greenstreet ("Casablanca," "The Maltese Falcon"). Co-starring Zachary Scott ("Cass Timberlane") and David Brian ("How theWest Was Won"). Directed by Academy Award-winner Michael Curtiz ("Casablanca," "Yankee Doodle Dandy") and produced by Oscar-winner Jerry Wald ("Mildred Pierce," "Peyton Place"). Spawned a TV movie and a CBS series.

Almost as good as The Damned Don't Cry. Joan looked great in many scenes and the supporting cast were excellent.
