A young mother left alone while her singer/songwriter husband is away indefinitely, must resort to growing marijuana to treat her son who suffers from nystagmus and severe narrow angle glaucoma. In the face of poverty and a mother-in-law seeking custody, JoLynn is forced to make a choice to stay or take Johnathan away from all that they both know in order to be together.
