Peter Kernana is a courageous American relief worker in war-ravaged Thailand. Burned-out and desperate for cash, Kernana is lured into a scheme to smuggle a million dollars worth of medicine over the border to a brutal warlord's jungle outpost. With his long-time friend, Cambodian refugee Khoy Thoun and a beautiful strong willed French Red Cross worker whose feelings for Peter are complicated by her marriage of convenience to the scheme's mastermind, Kernan and his renegade crew soon find themselves outnumbered in a bullet-filled race to deliver the drugs and make it home.
