Their only chance to find the killer, is to understand Dante's trip down to Hell... - It's been 15 years since the disappearance of little Francesca, daughter of the renowned poet and playwright, Vittorio Visconti. The community is stalked by a psychopath bent on cleaning the city of "impure and damned souls". Moretti and Succo are the detectives in charge of finding the killer of these "Dantesque" crimes. Francesca has returned, but she is not be the same girl they once knew.

This is made to look and sound like a 70s Italian film. It literally is one of the best giallos I've ever seen. Definitely better than what a lot of people are making these days. Great movie, great soundtrack! Great, suspensful story that will have you guessing until the end. Defininitely a worthwile rental. Check out the director's previous film, SONNO PROFONDO for more new-giallo greatness.

A quite noble attempt at reviving the wonderful - if moribund - genre of movie, the giallo. Here's hoping for a giallo renaissance!!
