This. Was. Awful. This movie pretty much justifies why Wes came back with the 7th movie to end this on a proper note. The 3D aspect was bad unto itself, but this story was just off in who knows where. This was 'bad closure' to me. An end to what started as one of the scariest villains in movie lore who ended up becoming a sweater clad clown with bad one liners. It's not the worst of the sequels, I think 2 takes it with 5 and 6 running neck and neck.

This movie is not the worst but that's not saying much at this point. The story made no fucking sense and Freddy's daughter is the worst main character of any of these Freddy films. With that said, there are some good stuff in this movie. The nightmares are not as cheesy as the last few. Johnny Depp is back for a little cameo and Freddy looks more scary than the Freddy we got in Part 5. His death was pretty lame and the special effects are really dated. (D-)

Better than the last one, but this one they start getting into Freddy's daughter which just doesn't seem right. They explain that Freddy kidnaps the kids of Elm Street and killed them because they took his daughter away years ago before she became a counselor for troubled teens. Aside from that lameness addition to the series, the plus sides was that this film did some pretty cool things with the deaths and what not. I like most of the characters and the acting wasn't that bad. Not a bad movie but most definitely not the best either
