1-4 of the original films are outstanding scary flicks which many modern films have borrowed. The remake lacks true Friday soul. Michael Bay made a slasher film about a guy in a hockey mask. A bit reminiscent of Friday the 13th V. Not Jason Vorhees and completely off key but I went to see it anyway because it was a Friday movie. I really wanted to like this but I left the theater with a sigh... Still holding out for a Quintin Tarantino remake (as he mentioned).

In the original ""spoliers"" his mother kill camp consolers then she die then Jason came in the sequel but in this one it's short so how many people did she kill before jason start killing, and what way she kill them ""spoilers are over"" overall the film is good, and the death scenes are looking gross (better than promnigjt (2008) kills) I love this film.

The movie was actually pretty damn good. In the older movies Jason just seems like a stiff board. In this new movie he seems to have a bigger and better story. His outfit is perfect and he seems more clever in this film. The kills are decent and the whole plot is great. It has some amazing visuals and Jason even seems more deadly when he runs (he was able to run in all the movies). Point being i would recommend this movie and i hope they make a sequel. I also noticed people keep saying "theres to much sex" but there are only two sex seens in the movie. *spoiler* trent and bree and in the first part that one guy and girl *unspoiled* if you think two sex scenes is alot then id hate to see what you think of 50shades of grey (never seen 50 shades lol).
