My personal favourite in the series. It shows Jason's body deterioration like no other film, and Kane Hodder does a great job at playing the killer. Even though there's no 80's soundtrack like in Part 6, the director brings a real sense of dread to the film, and gets quite creative with the killings on screen. And Jason for once, has finally met his match when he crosses paths with Tina, a young, troubled girl who has her own history at Camp Crystal Lake...
