By day Gerri Dandrige is a sexy professor, but by night she transforms into a real-life vampire with an unquenchable thirst for human blood. So when a group of high school students travel abroad to study in Romania, they find themselves ensnared in Gerri's chilling web of lust and terror. Charley and "Evil" Ed must stop Gerri from drinking and bathing in the blood of a "new moon virgin," who just so happens to be Charley's ex-girlfriend, Amy. They enlist help from Peter Vincent, the vampire-hunting host of a reality show called "Fright Night," to drive a stake through Gerri's plan and save Amy from a fate far worse than death.

As strange as it sounds... even though this story has been told three times (not including the books), this version of the movie offered many new spins. I like the twist that Charley is not a loser. In this movie he is a chick magnet, and he shows it. Peter Vincent is very competent. Evil Ed... well, he's a protrayed a lot smarter in this movie! Don't expect the same thing to happen in this version. Gerri is a woman... the preview already gave that much away! Now the real question is how that new element changes the relationship between Gerri and Charley! This movie is a lot of fun!

I watched this for free on Netflix. This movie is terrible regarding the plot and everything in general. It dragged along like molasses. Watch it by all means if you have a fifth of bourbon. It would be a great movie to play a drinking game while watching. That would be the ONLY way it would be interesting. Nothing compared to the original 80’s and it’s sequel or even the Colin Farrell movie.

I am a huge fright night fan and this movie was so bad it almost put me to sleep. If you want to contemplate suicide then watch this. However its not as bad as twilight. Nothing will ever be that bad.
