"An accessible look at the lives of 'professional gamers'." The documentary follows the lives of the Starcraft players MC and MMA. It covers their early lives - the humble environments they grew up in and how gaming grew from a hobby to a job - and the struggles they have as gamers currently: the knowledge that their bodies won't last forever, the fear of life after they can no longer compete and the weight of supporting their families. The players really open themselves up and their stories don't go to waste. This was really well made. It carve out two narratives: one player who seeks redemption and another whose lost purpose. It covers their ups and downs and really effectively uses just enough game footage to convey the tension - the excitement and the disappointment - that the players felt. A story of space marines and keyboards is transformed into one of human beings struggling with fear, disappointment, determination, and doubt.
