Los Angeles, 1949. All that I anticipated. Ryan Gosling was his usual debonair stylish smooth hero. Sean Penn was an excellent bad ares gangster. Josh Brolin played his role convincingly. Great period costume design. A well worth the time watching this film. Enjoyed it and recommend it to others.

One of the best films released in the last three years!!

Easily one of the films around, I highly recommend watching this .
