The older men must prepare the younger for the deadly environment of war. Probably as good an illustration of the day to day life of an American soldier. James Caan plays a tough guy NCO, and James Earl Jones plays a borderline screwball Sergeant Major. Both are brilliant......

As i am currently Stationed in Delta Company 1/3, This movie shows me the tradition I have to live up to. Great movie and will tell fellow soldiers about this movie and have them watch it. Very accurate and extremely close to our missions.
