John Mordecai
It mocks amateurish drive for zealous writers to add sexuality to their work, but at the same time makes some inappropriate needless references itself. "Take me there... Take me to your yeast factory." Enough said. That aside, it is really funny with great acting and a fulfilling ending.

To appreciate this film, it helps to have grown up a misfit in the Middle America of the 80's-90's. If you don't appreciate absurd humor and satire, this isn't for you. Low brow or not, this is one of my favorite comedies of the last decade. Many of the best jokes are the subtle ones. Don't take this movie- or life- too seriously, and maybe you'll enjoy it. If you loved "Little Miss Sunshine," "Bottle Rocket," "Rocket Science," "Eagle Vs. Shark," or "Napoleon Dynamite," you'll probably love this one, too.

I don't know what these baggers are talkin' 'bout, this movie is really funny. The characters are wacky, home-schooled and into sci-fi in that comic-con-band-nerd sort of way that some of us 'get'. It's silly, fresh, cheesy and really wonderfully cast. Jemaine Clement adds key doofus factor. It's worth a watch to me, don't expect much, just be entertained. You may never meet real people like this, but they do exist.
