Much better than anything I expected from an aging Will Ferell & an emerging, but not yet a excellent actor Kevin Hart. Which Kevin Hart I thought did a good job at portraying a man who had a much harder life than what Kevin has got going right now. Mr. Hart is definitely on his way to being a big star, people really do like him, he does not have a huge ego, & seems to be a family man. Assuming he can keep his head on straight he may have a chance to go down as one of the top African American comedians ever

Comedy is like art, it's gotta play to the individual or it just doesn't work. I won't take a slap shot at the low ratings, we all have our own taste of humor and comedy needs to be "tasted" in order to like or dislike. What I can say is this; Kevin Hart and Wil Ferrel have GREAT chemistry together in this movie. The humor slides from borderline prejudice to dark, and into dumb and dumber slapstick humor, but, it definitely takes the best of both these great comedians and utilizes their talents in creating funny moments. If you watch it just to be a critic, well, you'll probably find room to hate something. But if you're truly wanting to be entertained by two well known comedians, then this one is worth the watch. For the record, I didn't just rent it, I bought it. And it was worth the purchase. Will definitely watch this one several times.

I'm a huge Will Ferrell fan, and a fan of Kevin Hart as well. I wanted my dog to be named Ricky Bobby. The funniness of the jokes faded quickly. The last half hour was nearly unwatchable. The worst part of all was the extremely blatant social commentary telling me how bad our income inequality problem is. I love to watch Will Ferrell movies and just veg out and laugh. Too bad the writer had a political point to make.
