영화 정보

When Chris (Daniel Kaluuya), a young African-American man, visits his white girlfriend's (Allison Williams) family estate, he becomes ensnared in the more sinister, real reason for the invitation. At first, Chris reads the family's overly accommodating behavior as nervous attempts to deal with their daughter's interracial relationship, but as the weekend progresses, a series of increasingly disturbing discoveries lead him to a truth that he could have never imagined. This speculative thriller from Blumhouse (producers of The Visit, Insidious series and The Gift) and the mind of Jordan Peele (Key & Peele) is equal parts gripping thriller and provocative commentary.

Despite the very serious social theme centered around bigotry and it's mental and emotional effects it has on people by putting a spotlight on the venom that is poorly veiled prejudice this film gracefully keeps a comedic undertone. Indeed people are talking more about bigotry currently due to certain events here in the U.S. but sadly a lot of the talk seems to be people just screaming as loud as possible while plugging their ears and closing their hearts, like with most other social controversy these days. There is no seeking to understand one another or grow by learning from mistakes. The original ending was true to reality and still would have served its purpose of waking up those still drunk on delusion concerning the prevalence of skin color prejudice in the U.S., but the alternate ending gives the events in the movie a positive, almost vindicative, ending. For those who watch this movie who have probably had repeated life experience with prejudice behavior much worse than that showcased in this film the alternate end shows that while bigots still exist in droves things are not the same. More than some need a reality check even more need hope.

I won't get back that hour and some change of my life thats for sure. This movie made taking a toilet break and hearing some weird noise from the tank more suspenseful. The only horror in this movie is that I spent a few bucks to watch it. It's slow, almost straight boring, and wasn't at all what I was looking for. I highly advise NOT to watch. P.s. he gets away

I know its a horror/comedy, tho racism in any way isn't really funny. Unrealistic but expected with horror, I've seen the actor before but believe comedy serves a better suit for him. Could've been worse tho, if you can surpass the endless racism then its a gd movie otherwise I don't suggest to anyone under 18
