The good old formula is back with Gilli. A one-man-army combats an eccentric villain against all odds as he tries to save a helpless girl from his clutches. Dharani has done it for the third time by churning out this hit-and-run yarn that keeps you engaged and entertained for 160 minutes.

Histrionics or dramatic range has never been vijay's strength but as for his comic ability this movie was his last & One of the good ones.

Best Entertainer. Vijay has acted well in this movie for the first and last time I think. Trisha has done good job. Good songs, Very good wit and humour, Best choreography, stunt scenes. And undoubtedly Prakash Raj is just excellent.
