A trio of university parasychologists lose their research grant and decide to open their own business, "Ghostbusters," and almost at once are summoned to investigate the strange happenings in a Central Park West apartment. What they discover is that all Manhattan is being besieged by other worldly demons.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM GOOGLE PLAY IN 4K. Obviously Ghostbusters is an excellent excellent movie and I would imagine anyone reading this knows this already. But the transfer carried by Google Play is one of the worst I have ever seen. Blocky , grainy and faded image on a 4k set, it ruins the move. Rent / purchase elsewhere.

This was my very first movie. My GrandMa lived in a small town in Wisconsin and had a theater across the street. She took us and during library scene when that scary ghost appeared well that scared the poop out of me. GrandMa had to walk me back to her house, I had seen enough. So innocent as a child back then compared to nowadays.

I don't think I have anything new to say. There isn't a single thread of this film that makes any sense, but it's fun and dazzling all the same. This is "my" movie, been watching it since I was roughly a year old, maybe closer to 2. At the age of 39, I'm conscious of the fact that every scene in the film is a work of art, visually. It's not like THE BEST movie, objectively speaking, but it's pretty high up there (IMO).
