Dull, dreary and the funniest scene is the mid credits scene. Largely boring characters with angst ridden, depressed but smarter-than-the-adults child cast doesn't help. A lot of special effects, especially at the very end are really good, some other because they're so unrealistic look so fake. But there is so little humour and its played far too straight it's almost a drama. The very end has lots of nostalgia and some emotion but ultimately a missed opportunity. Wish I hadn't bought it.

Enjoyed it very much. Unlike the 2016 reboot, which I did enjoy a lot, this seems much more down to earth with a better story. It does have quite a few references to the original movie and could be considered a sequel to that film. It was, perhaps, a bit too similar to the first film for its own good, but overall it was a great film with decent characters and story and no wise cracking, smart mouthed scientists. That was the worst aspect of the 2016 movie.

It’s a good movie but making the young little girl more clever than anyone is a bit modern cliche and when she picks up the proton pack and fires it.as we know in the original movies they are really heavy and would throw her back but again this is no problem to her.but I would like to say the ending of the movie is so good it’s worth watching even with all the a average stuff in between and children will enjoy it.
