Based on Karin Fossum's award-winning novel Don't Look Back, THE GIRL BY THE LAKE is Andrea Molaioli's debut feature, for which she was honored with the Isvema Award at the Venice Film Festival. Then the picture took her country's moviegoers by storm. An idyllic town is shocked by the murder of young and beautiful girl. Inspector Giovanni Sanzio (Venice Best Actor Tony Sevillo of IL DIVO and GOMORRAH) is called in from the capital, but the victim proves as mysterious as the crime itself.
