M. Night Shyamalan brings together two of his standout original films—Unbreakable and Split— in this explosive comic book thriller. Elijah Price, also known as Mr. Glass (Samuel L. Jackson), finds David Dunn (Bruce Willis) pursuing Kevin Wendell Crumb's superhuman figure, The Beast (James McAvoy), in a series of escalating encounters. This movie gave me cancer. I've seen worse but I think the simple fact that M Night-Shamilamamanma Wrote or Directed, or maybe just touched it, is what really turned it from bad to a carcinogen. I am more than willing to offer up my suspension of disbelief but I do tend to cling dearly to my suspension of stupid and, yet again, Mr. Shamanaama was apparently desperately relying on his audience to forgive stupid for the sake of poor cinematography and writing/dialogue written by his teen age daughter [him in a onesie w/ pigtails]. I felt bad for what's his name and bald dude, their pretty good actors, but they obviously agreed to do this movie on a dare. That's just my take, I could be biased though [against stupid]. I'm giving it two stars instead of one because it wasn't called The Last Airbender.

I liked it. I might be a little biased with m. night because he base most of his movies in Pennsylvania if not all. and I appreciate that. I really liked unbreakable, didn't care too much for split (probably because I know someone who is bipolar and the actor did not do justice to the true split). but I did like this because it embraced the comic book ness of it even though I am not a comic book Guy. 100% rent 55% buy if u like 55% of his work. I do like is Alfred Hitchcock touches in this.

I'm a fan of Unbreakable. I don't necessarily buy the whole father and son team-vigilante through security thing. No vigilante in their right mind would allow anyone else to participate let alone a son. So for as real world as this seems; that part is definitely fantasy land. Not to mention a kidnap victim acting like she's her tormentor's savior. Then the nice uplifting scene at the end where the three sit at a train station bench watching for people to see the video uploaded.
