During the 16th century, pirates rule the Chinese coastline, pillaging the small villages and terrorizing the citizens. It really portrays the unity of people and their determination to defend what it's there's. Great and beautiful film. And spoiler! Ending with the Honor of a Samurai... Chills, intense!

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. General Qi is brilliant start to finish. His demonstrates a leadership style and personality that we all can learn from. I’ve watched it 5X and pick something up each time

I really liked this movie. It has everything you expect from crazy Samurai warriors with blades frolicking about chopping off heads!
