À propos de ce film

Following Roland Emmerich's controversial Americanization of the Japanese monster icon in Godzilla (1998), the Beast from the East comes roaring back in this sci-fi adventure tale. Yuji Shinoda (Naomi Nishida), a scientist devoted to researching Godzilla, is setting up equipment on a fog-shrouded peninsula with her daughter Io (Mayu Suzuki) and journalist Yuki Ichinose (Takehiro Murata) when everyone's favorite 180-foot-tall lizard appears from the sea and begins laying siege to a nuclear power plant. The military swings into action, but the monster's fiery breath soon uncovers an alien spacecraft; beings from outer space have come to take over the earth, and now Godzilla is our last line of defense against them. Hugely successful in Japan, Gojira Mireniamu (aka Godzilla 2000) was the first Japanese Godzilla movie since Godzilla 1985 to receive a US theatrical release.

When Toho killed Godzilla in 1995 Toho made a really big mistake letting TriStar make a Godzilla movie which got so many people excited but they left the theatre with a bad feast. Only 2 years later came Godzilla 2000 which made everybody love Godzilla again even with some issues it was a great come back of the king of the monsters. It was nice you kicked Zilla for what he had done in final war.

If there were negative stars this movie would definitely deserve them. The acting and costume design were horrendous to say the least. I seriously doubt Godzilla 2014 will be much better either at least when it comes to plot & acting should've stopped at Godzilla 1998.

I love a bad movie every now and again. They can be interesting for perverse reasons or serve as a reminder of how good other movies actually are. But this movie is just horrible and has no real redeeming factors in my opinion. But you may love it, what do I know, right?
