As a typhoon is raging across Japan, a loud roar alerts the populace that they are once again being visited by a rampaging monster. The military manages to drive the beast back into the ocean, but another attack looks inevitable. In preparation, the Ministry of Science designs Kiryu, a enormous lizard-like robot based on the DNA of the previous giant lizard that attacked Tokyo almost fifty years earlier. Sure enough, just as the finishing touches are being put on Kiryu, the real lizard comes back to settle some old scores. This is probably one of my favorite godzilla back when I was a lad. But I still enjoy the film premise, the design of godzilla and mechagodzilla, and the behind the scenes aspects. There are a few cringey scene especially with humans scenes but its not as bad as others. I overall think it's an enjoyment to watch and a really a classic.

One of the better films in the series and has great action scenes! Like with 93 film, I didnt like that the humans created Mecha G. This film also has one of the best Godzilla designs as well it is just a repaint of the 2000 look. Must watch!

Godzilla against mechagodzilla is one of the best godzilla movies with great character development, interesting themes and entertaining fight scenes I definitely recommend this movie to any fan of the big G.
