Godzilla's 50th Anniversary project and costliest adventure to date out of 28 films. Earth has been relatively peaceful since Godzilla was successfully buried deep in ice beneath the South Pole. Then - sometime a few years hence-several of his old nemeses return to wreak havoc on cities worldwide. A huge spaceship suddenly appears and neutralizes all the monsters in a blink. The visitors are "Xiliens," who take human form and announce they would like to negotiate a peace treaty that would replace the United Nations with a "United Universe". They are indeed too good to be true, however. It doesn't take long before their nefarious real purpose is exposed - conquering Earth. Greatly outmatched, Earth officials decide to de-freeze Godzilla as man's only hope to vanish the invaders, as well as the monsters they control. One reason I'm here is to say that if you think toho stole the 1998 zilla cause by god I am not calling that thing Godzilla, and are complaining about it on here, your ruining my day and other Godzilla fans, also thats racist to call an innocent japanese person who just disliked the horrible 98 american godzilla and decided to have it in this movie just to kill it off, "inhumane". The other reason I'm here is too tell you that this movie is great and I highly suggest watching it.

great movie, this godzilla movie in my opinion is the best, and the person who gave this one star and called 98 godzilla/zilla better than all toho godzilla movies is now on the FBI"s most wanted list, and WILL be banished to hell, and I also hate u. and just to let u know 98 Godzilla/Zilla, an animatronic was not used, but was origanaly intended to be. (note I've seen Godzilla final wars, not on my phone but on T.V. I just thought I should put the review out there, and also roast the Toho hater

I love this movie. for those who say stuff like "stop stealing our american monster Zilla" I mean like, you wouldn't have the american one without the original one. so shut up and stop ruining other Godzilla fans' day. Like, at least Toho had something special to their monsters(their actors gave the monsters a special touch) and not CGI.
