It literally is what is says it is. The human characters are actually okay to be fair and portrayed by some great actors even if the inclusion of some of them isn't particularly necessary. This being in addition to the very generous amount of screen time they're given too. All in all a bit too much set up to wade through and the cgi for Kong wasn't as well rendered compared to Skull Island though is a worthy follow up to Godzilla, Kong Skull Island and Godzilla King of the Monsters.

Rubbish plot and characters Now we've got that out of the way... Wow, the 2 biggest battles in this film are stunning. Watch the hong kong fight on a big fancy tv and i date you not too be bowled over by the sheer neon colour coming through amidst the huge battle. I was aching whether to give it a 4 for axon and spectacle alone, but the characters are simply forgettable, can't remember their names and some could be removed from the film to make it shorter and it would have no negative impact

It's a good movie, nothing more, I'm sad to say. The CGI is stunning but it doesn't make up for a bad script, unneeded characters, a very weak score and strange directing decisions. However, it's a movie about Titans knocking three bells out of each other and at that it excels. Massively. Just don't expect exposition or narrative cohesion.
