About this movie

GOOD stars Oscar nominee Viggo Mortensen (THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy,HISTORY OF VIOLENCE) as John Halder, a German literature professor in the 1930s, who is reluctant at first to accept the ideas of the Nazi Party. Pulled in different emotional directions by not only his wife, but by his mother, his mistress and his Jewish friend, eventually Halder gives in to Nazism and becomes employed by the Party. As he moves up the Nazi ranks, his seemingly inconsequential decisions potentially jeopardize the people in his life with devastating effects. Selected for the 2008 Toronto Film Festival and featuring a masterful central performance from Mortensen, GOOD is a powerful drama about choices, friendship and loyalty. Also starring Jason Isaacs (the HARRY POTTER series), Jodie Whittaker (VENUS, CRANFORD) and Steven Mackintosh (UNDERWORLD, THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL).
