I even like the albums released based off the movie's soundtrack (and many of these songs are remixes or covers compared to the originals). Movie itself is a memory that I've watched with my family in the 90s. My grandfather served in Vietnam. My family lost many good friends. Good to see a movie shining some happiness out of all the misery that was the Vietnam war.

EXCELLENT! As a Vietnam era veteran, I approve of this movie! The damn "lifers" as we called the regular 20 year soldiers, (AND as seen in this movie), WERE almost as bad as the enemy! R.I.P. My brother Robin Williams. Forest Whitaker is also great here!

This movie came out when i was a little girl. I remember watching this and laughing so hard i cried and crying so hard i got the hiccups. This is where i fell in love with Robin Williams! I bought the soundtrack and memorized it. I was 11! A must see!
