About this movie

Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach's comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange… He is a prisoner of his own imagination – the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it's suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong. I would have liked the monsters to have had a bigger showcase, the ones that do appear had quite the shoddy CGI job, but I understand with the magnitude of R L Stine's rouges gallery it's not exactly practical. In any case I was pleased and amused by the dialogue between the cast. Sadly that was about all I liked.

I loved the movie. I like how when the monsters got sucked in it wasn't like they just disappeared. It showed like bits and pieces of the monster that are ink and not ink. I love the funny bits. Like when The GHOULS got STINE he's like run save yourself and champ actually runs. I like how at the end STINE wrote another book about hannah. So Zack and Hannah could be together I like the twist at the end and were STINE shows up. I give this a 5 STAR rating. I think you should buy the movie.
