In this movie dedicated to Bruce Lee, Shuny Bee brings a lot of original martial arts' concepts and practices that he has developed himself for many years. Excellent working up with Nepali Khukuris, single or double, is his own creation in the world of martial arts. The story line is a contemporary one that addresses an emerging issue in Nepali society in particular and global society in general. The movie entertains well with some of the new tricks in martial arts depicting their use for a good cause. The movie deserves an international recognition of some kind.

I have never seen anyone playing the Nunchaku that good after Bruce Lee. But Sunny Bee is master in that, also he is brilliant with the Nepali powerful knife (Khukuri). I grew up watching Martial Arts movies, I wish I was as good as Sunny Bee too. Being a VFX artist, I think doing all those moves in Visual Effect might be easy and safe but without VFX, those moves are truly dangerous and I don't know how he did that. Please watch the movie "Gorkha Protector" and support Martial Arts.

Shuny Bee has accomplished a great deal in this one film, The Gorkha Protector. At first, you might think this film has been pulled from the vaults of an Asian film studio that put it aside sometime in the 1970s or even the 1960s. It has a retro atmosphere that belies its 21st century origins, but the message is timeless: Stop the human trafficking of Nepali girls to big cities like Bombay and who knows where else. Bee demonstrates his crisp technique with and without weapons, but his skills are all in service of the helpless. He steps forward in the face of cowardice and apathy. It's exactly what needs to happen not only in Nepal, but anywhere that criminals profit from poverty and fear. But no need to worry, this movie is entertaining and laced with just enough humor to keep it from being a downer. And for those who know about Bollywood productions, there's a music video, too! Produced, written and starring Shuny Bee. It's an incredible accomplishment for a martial artist from the Himalayas. If you're an action fan who likes a movie with purpose, make sure you check it out!
