In the aftermath of a World War II bombing, two orphaned children struggle to survive in the Japanese countryside. To Seita and his four-year-old sister, the helplessness and indifference of their countrymen is even more painful than the enemy raids. I've seen this movie many years ago while still being a teenager. The story is very sad and touching. Can't help to feel sad for the kids.... The movie stayed with me long after it finished.

This animation shows how cruel in this real world, it makes you angry laugh and sad!!! The most scary creature is human... Yub!!!!

as others have said once you've watched it's just too sad to watch again but truly is one of the greatest films of all time.
