Knew it was going to suck after the first 15 min but for some reason kept watching for another 15 then decided to turn it off. Sucky acting and sucky special effects. Should have trusted the 3.4 rating I wouldn't even give it that probably like a 2.5. Save ur almost 8 dollars after tax and rent something worth the money

It's one of those horror movies where you grow to dislike each character. Until you get to the end and don't care about the outcome anymore. This movie only has two outcomes as it follows the creature feature sub genre: the shark gets fed and gets to live another day for a sequel or the people get away after murdering the shark. Nothing creative or different about this one other than the fact that they did manage to make a shark look disproportional and ugly on the cover artwork.

"Jaws" obviously set the template here, and has never been equalled. "Deep Blue Sea", despite its flaws, was a fun variation. This movie lacks the style of either... or any discernible style at all. The scenery (filmed from above) is gorgeous, the music does its "ominous" thing... but the characters are dull as dirt, and you pretty much know who will survive. There are a few jolty scenes, but they've been done before and with much more panache. On the whole, a big "meh."
