About this movie

A true story of Arkansas Razorbacks walk-on offensive lineman Brandon Burlsworth (Christopher Severino). Devoutly Christian and ridiculed for his portly appearance, Burlsworth defies the odds to make the Razorbacks' squad in 1994, and ultimately develops into an All-American player and top NFL prospect.

It's been a while, but I remember that this is a very good movie. The best bits all happen off the field, just like they should. But my favorite part of the movie doesn't star Brandon Burlsworth, it stars his older brother. It's near the end of the movie at the funeral. A great deal of extremely powerful symbolism there, just about all true too. I'd probably watch it just for that scene.

Sadly, I never heard of this phenomenal human being Brandon Burlsworth until this amazing movie. It touched me so deep...it brought out so many different emotions in me that no other movie was able to do. His determination, tenacity & beautiful heart is inspirational in itself. Against all odds...he truly believed in himself and his dream. Best movie for me by far. If only this world were full of Brandon Burlsworth's...We'd be so blessed!!

So sad but I Loved the faith this young man exhibited. It inspires me to stand up for God even if I have to stand alone. Great story. I can't believe I never heard of him until now and the movie should have been a tremendous hit.
