It wasn't awful, I'll give it that. But ummm. The sheer number of common sense lapses are astounding. I initially watched a long time ago (when everything was new and fresh and shiny and O.M.G. superheroes and superpowers) and I couldn't enjoy the movie even then because there were just so many things that common sense would have solved. So, fricken' many.

They couldve done more but, unlike Marvel, DC movies are owned by Warner Bros who see these as additional income putting less honest effort in the movie than fans need. Tey just slot them to be part of the new comic movie trend. Still... I think Sinestro, Hal and Paralax were well done.

Got leading man. Check. Got pretty female lead. Check. Origin story. Check. Rushed scenes and pointless dialogue that is only for pop culture sake. Check. Bad guy. Sorta, a poorly developed one. Secondary character such a poorly written character. Special Effects. Big Check,way too dependant on them. How Marvel can make a good movie out of a ridiculous sounding story as Thor or Guardians of the Galaxy and Green Lantern was such a turd. I don't know
