Based on the women who inspired the Maysles brothers' 1975 documentary, this film tells the story of 'Big Edie' and 'Little Edie' Bouvier Beale, whose eccentric, mutually dependent lives played out in a decaying house known as Grey Gardens.

I suppose you need to be a fan of the original 1976 documentary to appreciate this movie. Lang and Barrymore absolutely NAIL their respective roles as big and little Edie Bouvier. Almost eerie. The film interlaces past events of the pair that give some insight into how their lives developed/fell apart, and why they ended up together in the dilapidated mansion.

Fell across this late a nite channel surfing & was so drawn in I couldn't stop watching..kinda like you don't believe your eyes but you can't stop looking! lol! :-)

Very moving performance by both Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore I was totally fascinated by the women I never knew existed Bravo
