He was 'Grey Owl', the most celebrated 'Native American' of his day. But Archibald Stansfeld Belaney -- his real name -- was no such thing. He was a Hastings schoolboy who later moved to Canada and killed thousands of animals as a fur trapper before an extraordinary epiphany transformed him into a conservationist who spread his message worldwide -- albeit via a fake identity. Directed by Richard Attenborough (Gandhi, Cry Freedom) and starring former 'James Bond' Pierce Brosnan.

Boring, must be the worst pierce brosnan film ever made, and according to my brother I like a lot of bad boring films but this sent me & my Dad to sleep, we got to around 45 minutes into it and fast forward to the tiny tiny Hastings bits and just about stayed awake till the end pieceing together what happened. dvd went to charity shop next day. Learned he was later in history than I thought & that's after learning about him at school, has I was then from Hastings area. Avoid
