About this movie

Imelda Staunton (Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix) stars as Momma Rose with her two children, June and Louise (Lara Pulver, Sherlock). Convinced they can make it in showbiz as a fresh-faced double act, she touts them up and down the country during the Depression. But as the light of Vaudeville fades in favour of something more titillating, the girls grow up and start answering back. Soon she realises her blind determination may have cost her more than just fame and fortune, but her relationship with her children.

Saw this a few weeks ago, an amazing production that will be certainly remembered! It has a fantastic cast as well as imaginative staging and glorious music, a must see!

So glad this was on TV last Christmas & it blew me away!! A superb production from start to end with amazing performances from all the cast. However the STAR of this show is the incredible Imelda Staunton who's performance as Mama Rose is just spectacular and not to be missed!! A definite MUST see!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
