In the first film, a group of friends are bored with their lives but after a night of drinking in a ski resort hot tub, the four wake up in 1986. This is their chance to change their futures - one will find a new love life, one will learn to stand up for himself, one will find his mojo and one will make sure he still exists! In the second, Lou, Nick, and Jacob fire up the hot tub time machine to get back to the past. But they land in the future now they have to alter the future to save the past.
