Shiv Kapoor (Abhishek Bachchan) and Pooja Kashyap (Karisma Kapoor) fall in love while working at the same company and decide to get married. But when Pooja catches Shiv indulging in infidelity, their marriage dissolves. After splitting from Shiv, Pooja takes up a secretarial job with a famous film actor, Raj Malhotra (Akshay Kumar). He falls in love with Pooja, but things complicate when Shiv reenters her life. Unable to forget her past love, Pooja struggles to choose between her head and heart.
