Man, what a bore this is. The situation's pretty simple, so the plot won't keep you involved, nor will you care much about the characters. Josh Brolin threatens to be threatening but winds up as a one-dimensional dullard, and the lure of ScarJo is all tease, no pay-off. George looks like he's having fun but wasn't afforded enough screen time to go at anything above a mild trot. It gets two stars for Channing Tatum's dance scene - one star per foot. See if you can find that on YouTube so you can save yourself the chore of wading through the first 40-odd minutes.

Hail Caesar! is pure Coen brothers. It's a film that won't be to a lot of viewers liking, but for fans classic golden age cinema and of the Coen brothers style, this will have you in stitches. Would that it were so simple that all films were as well made as this.

This movie made no sense. I normally love the Coen bros, but this was too much Hollywood indulgence. I’m sure someone who works in showbiz would enjoy it. Kinda gross. Elitist BS.
