About this movie

Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. Master of horror John Carpenter joins forces with director David Gordon Green and producer Jason Blum (Get Out, Split) for this follow up to Carpenter's 1978 classic.

Apart from bad CG pumpkin in opening credits this film had the same build and feel as the original 1978 feel. Pretty good storyline especially the few easter egg story plots for possible sequels.

This definitely met my expectations. As a huge Halloween/Myers fan, I was hesitant that it would be like the other sequels- but thankfully I was wrong! This is how a "Halloween" film is done. Recommended!

A tired and uninspiring recitation of the tropes the original popularised. Characters were 2-dimensional placeholders with as little to offer as the deadpan killer himself and their actions were predictably stupid ("oh noes, trapped in an armory created by Granny Sarah Connor, where will I get a weapon?"). This film added nothing to the franchise and the only thing it rebooted was someone's bank.
