In this startling and truly original feature debut, Russian filmmaker llya Naishuller employs a first-person camera to ingenious effect, essentially turning the viewer into the hero, Henry; we see the world through his eyes. After waking up in a Moscow laboratory to find his body mangled and reconstructed with robotic parts, Henry is almost immediately thrust into a frenetic, nonstop, life-or-death struggle with vicious warlord Akan (Danila Kozlovsky) and his gang. Sharita Copley costars as Henry's shape-shifting ally in this thrilling, stunt-filled, and sometimes discombobulating cinematic joyride-a video game brought to dazzling life.
