À propos de ce film

In the first part of the seventh and final adventure, Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort's immortality and destruction -- the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart. Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort's Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter. The Chosen One has become the hunted one as the Death Eaters search for Harry with orders to bring him to Voldemort...alive.

The most boring year in cinema was this 146 minute movie. All of this movie could have been done in 15 to 20 minutes in Part 2, with flashbacks and short scenes. It felt like they were trying to double their money by making two movies out of one and filling in the extra time with long periods of wandering in the wilderness. The angst and self-loathing of the characters drawn out over hours of 'camping' was monotonous, which I can understand because camping is usually a group of unhappy people fighting the elements, but we could have skipped through the dreariness without wasting time and money on this movie.

Part 1 of the epic climax to the Harry Potter franchise is a road movie without a doubt. This is the series' darkest film and is definitely not aimed for younger children. The cast is stunning and the magic keeps on getting darker and darker. It does take a much slower pace than any of the series' films before this and you want that before the end. Beautifully filmed, beautifully directed, great design, and wonderfully acted. Part 1 is a great set up for not only its second part but for the very end of the once in a lifetime franchise.

I am unable to purchase/rent this particular movie. I keep getting an error (DF-PPA-57) when I try to rent it. I chatted with tech support and they (a very nice man named Eric) let me know that is not a problem with my account or phone, but a problem with the actual movie! Please fix!
