This movie is an amazing ending to the series. Alan Rickman and Ralph Fiennes gave stellar performances, as well as the trio. It's action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat and takes you through several emotions throughout. The score and the battle scenes are truly great and there are scenes that are just how I would've pictured as I read. However, the only thing I wish was different was the "end of voldemort" scene; -spoiler-I wish it had followed the books because the book gave a perfect cinematic and dramatic ending, with everyone standing there while Harry talks down to Voldemort. And with Harry talking to the headmaster and mending his wand in the headmaster's office, as opposed to the semi-awkward last scene showing the trio. However I appreciate that most of this movie does stay pretty close to the book. Overall, great movie.

I hated to see it all end. I read all these books late in life and only started to read them so my daughter and I could do it together and discuss them, but I fell in love. I cried at the end of the book because it was all over and at the end of the movie as well. I don't think there could ever be a more appropriate series of books for young children to read ever published again. Kudos, J.K. Rowling

A fitting conclusion to the final installment. It's grand and operatic as needed and ends the series spectacularly. I wish they had gotten John Williams to finish it out properly (instead of the cut and paste theming that was done) but that's a minor niggle to what ends up a great conclusion.
