Om denne filmen

HE NAMED ME MALALA is an intimate portrait of Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Malala Yousafzai, who was targeted by the Taliban and severely wounded by a gunshot when returning home on her school bus in Pakistan’s Swat Valley. The then 15-year-old (she turns 18 this July) was singled out, along with her father, for advocating for girls’ education, and the attack on her sparked an outcry from supporters around the world. She miraculously survived and is now a leading campaigner for girls’ education globally as co-founder of the Malala Fund.

This is a tale of many threads, beautifully woven together. Malala and her father are courageous beyond words. What I didn't expect was the aesthetic way her story was told, illustrated with fantastic pastel animations, interspersed with video of her and her father and brothers now, exiled from her home, as well as photos and videos of the family from before she was shot.by the Taliban. As background, is the story of her town, and the initially benign rule of the Taliban, which hardens over time to become oppressive. Executions become common,. When they start dynamiting schools, and prohibiting girls from education, Malala aged 14 feels she must speak out against them, knowing they will exact revenge. Both Malala and her father are devout Muslims, and one of the most moving clips is of her father, before Malala started her campaign, speaking out publicly about the Talibans desecration of Islam from a religion of peace to one of violence bloodshed & power. As a consequence, he and the family lived in daily fear of reprisal. Overall this is a very moving tapestry of stories, beautifully woven together, of immense courage.

A large number of innocent children died in terror attack in Pishawar, Pakistan. Heart breaking incident but children who survived still studying in the same school where their friends targeted brutally. You can't find any justification for Malala leaving Pakistan and become British Citizen just because she survived the terrorist attack. Just search Peshawar school attack and compare with Malala. Who is the bravest? those kids who still educating in the same place or Malala the Milliner British Citizen?
