For many, the film might have undermined the issue that raised Malala into one of the leading global voices for the cause of girls' education. But I believe that, for a work of fiction to make an impact and raise questions and discourse, an artistic rendition is important. And that is what I find in He named me Malala. Yes, someone else could probably have done a better job at it. But hey, Guggenheim beat them to it!
