I went into watching this movie with a bit of trepidation as we are die hard original Hellboy movie fans. However, this movie met our expectations and then some. Not sure what all the fuss is about with the gore, this is Hellboy people, it's not going to be all puppy dogs and kittens (although where were the kittens?). Don't get me wrong, we will always well and truly love the originals. This is a good effort of a reboot that we have seen. Casting decisions were good. 1 star off for continuity issues with the storyline, it was a bit disjointed and the put on pommy accent but overall this was great action / horror / comic book movie to watch. I think it would have done well to have the original director and actors but hey, you work with what you got, right??. I hope they decide to try for a sequel as we would watch that's for sure. David Harbour and Ian McShane did fantastic job as well as all other cast members.

I kinda like this reboot. It's charming in it's own way and David Harbour had a good turn as Hellboy. Story was good; solid with some nice surprises here and there. Very gory, but that doesn't bother me. Gave it 5 Stars as I think it's quite a bit under-rated. Worth a look folks.

Not as good as the first two. New Hell boy actor yells a lot, lacks the deeper voice of the original actor so overcompensate in most scenes. Script could of used more work. Had a few good scenes, a lot more gore. Not terribly bad, rest of cast were pretty good.
