Recovering from a car accident where his wife and son perished, Jeff(Cary Elewes) awakens from a coma only to discover he is able to see visions of people who have died tragic deaths. Haunted by images of the crash, he seeks the help of a spiritual healer (William Hurt), who explains that the visions are souls trapped in a shadow world, and are forced to relive their own deaths for eternity.
