I guess I expected too much from this movie. It's a pretty bumpy thing. It was actually kind of sad. Overall, it's worth renting in SD. It's about old losers, which could have been funny. They go to parties and are clearly wasted throughout the movie. I'd have to feel sorry if you haven't seen it. I just don't believe the huge price tag for an early 21st Century film about losers. One of the old women steal cheese. This film was recorded with a toaster. Now if you projected that film through a RoboHon onto your fence, and your neighbors freaked out, then I would have overpaid on the movie to watch on a robot phone in my backyard. The setting is what is left of New York. The references aren't properly cited. The atmosphere is highly immature. I supposed if you came here for a lot of excitement, these people clearly out exuberate you. It has multiple endings, which is a nice change for the Hollywood generation of ideas. Good and cheap movie. It's alright.

Sally Field was always possessed a certain charm. It seems that when she took acting serious it was evident by the roles she chose that garnered her wins at the Oscar ceremonies. I find her to be quite an intelligent person. And that is why I found this movie to be such a let down. It seems that Ms. Field's choice of role to be as delusional as the character she played. A deranged, dried up, prune faced woman living alone amongst such a wide range of trash and clutter, but we're supposed to suspend belief to think that a 20 something guy, with a hot girlfriend wouldn't be able to detect that an old horny crone wasn't trying to wrap her cobwebbed crotch around him! Damn, really? I kept waiting for the humor but it was too outrageous to even garner a chuckle !

Ok, I get it. Even in the movies, it's all about selling and making the big bucks. But, once again, the sellers draw one in with a trailer that is hilarious. Thinking it just might be gut-wrenching, continual comedy, the movie becomes otherwise. The movie is not disappointing. How it is sold is. IF you expect to be chortling throughout this movie, you will, but mostly in the parts that are shown on the 'trailer'. Another well acted movie with an interesting theme... too many guys date girls their granddaughter's age. Why shouldn't gals? The movie does allow the intensity of anticipation to continue to move the movie along... an interesting story line with good acting makes the movie worth watching although I waffle on whether I would watch it again, Mostly because I hate trailers that are dishonest to what the movie really is: a dramedy, some would label it. Not the comedy I was looking forward to as a relief from even the valid debates the movie raises.
